Protect Yourself
against internet scams
In an attempt to address the rising cyber
crime threat, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission ) on January
10, 2006 unveiled an online tool designed to help consumers avoid
becoming victims of Internet scams. The website includes valuable
information to protect yourself from fraud as well as interactive
tools designed to enlighten you about identity theft, phishing,

Multi-Factor Authentication
(Click
here for MasterCard FAQ PDF)
Beginning January 1 2007, TCCU will be upgrading
its Internet Banking Technology to include additional security known
as “Multi-Factor Authentication.” This additional security
will be phased in to Home Banking, Free Bill Pay, and MasterCard
(ezcard info online bill pay).
Multi-Factor Authentication is an additional
layer of security that guards against unauthorized access to your
online accounts. In addition to providing login ID and passwords,
online-banking users will be required to provide answers to challenge
questions or to provide an additional access code known only to
them.
Members will be notified by email, in member
statements, e-statements, and on the TCCU website regarding the
details of this new process.
Please feel free to contact the credit union
with any questions about Multi-Factor Authentication or any other
Credit Union inquiries you may have.
